This Education Portal was established to facilitate asnaf students—Fakir, Miskin, and Muallaf—who are registered with Lembaga Zakat Selangor (MAIS) in submitting applications for the Higher Education Scholarship Assistance (HESA), Preparatory Assistance for Entry into Higher Education Institutions, and First-time Pocket Money Assistance online. This portal continues the implementation of educational sponsorships that were previously processed manually through LZS branches since the introduction of these aids.
Through this Education Portal, asnaf students of LZS can submit their assistance applications from any location using a computer or smartphone. This initiative aligns with the development of the LZS zakat distribution system, which is now moving towards digitalization. It is hoped that this initiative will benefit asnaf students of LZS in pursuing higher education, while also helping them and their families break free from the cycle of poverty through excellence in education.
