SHAH ALAM, 23 October 2023 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), through the Shariah and Da’wah Division (DSD), organized the Zakat Intellectual Discourse Series (ZIDS) program, involving over 100 participants, including the LZS Senior Management Group, department heads, and dai’i of LZS.

ZIDS featured distinguished speakers, including LZS Shariah Advisory Committee member Professor Dr. Aznan Hasan, Former Federal Territory Mufti Dato’ Seri Dr. Zulkifli Muhamad Al-Bakri, and a Certified Trainer from Sabar Training and Resource, Syamsul Amri A. Razak.

The program aimed to enhance understanding of LZS’s Seven Core Values, particularly the three main values: ‘Faithful, Knowledgeable, and Trustworthy’. It also served as a platform for sharing insights on core elements of Shariah and da’wah in zakat management, especially in the modern era.

In addition to lectures delivered by the speakers, participants had the opportunity to pose questions. The program was further highlighted by the launch of the book The 360 Leader Ship for the LZS Senior Management Group.

ZIDS received very positive feedback from participants, who expressed hope that the program would continue in the future, so that LZS staff could continually gain new perspectives, particularly from Shariah and da’wah viewpoints, in driving the empowerment of zakat in the state.
