Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Muslim – Must be of the Islamic faith.
Fakir or Miskin – Registered as fakir or miskin with the Selangor Zakat Board.
Aged 60 and above – Recognised as elderly by the Social Welfare Department (JKM)
Able to Take Care of Oneself – Must be physically healthy, not bedridden, and able to manage personal care independently.

Eligibility Criteria for Bait Al-Hasanah
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Children of Fakir/Miskin Asnaf: Eligibility must be verified by the District Zakat Executive or District Operations Manager in the year of intake.
Age: 10 years and above, with priority given to children aged 10 years (Grade 4).
Specific Requirements
No disciplinary or criminal records.
Physically and mentally healthy.
Children not currently attending school require a support letter from the District Operations Manager or Sector Manager of the Distribution Office.

Baitus Salam is a temporary protection centre and community hub established to support Asnaf Mualaf (new converts) in reorganizing their lives when embracing Islam or facing challenging circumstances. It provides guidance, shelter and opportunities for personal, social and economic development.
Implement Part V, Section 26 regarding the protection of mualaf and uphold the care and teaching regulations for mualaf (Selangor State) 2009, amended 2013.
Serve as a protection centre for mualaf rejected by family or relatives after embracing Islam.
Provide shelter from external threats, including familial or social pressures.
Offer short-term Fardu Ain guidance programs for mualaf.
Equip mualaf with vocational knowledge to improve socio-economic opportunities.
Support the emotional and social development of mualaf to help them lead a better life.
Preserve and strengthen their aqidah (faith) against misleading influences.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Malaysian citizen.
Full-time participation in programs, activities, and classes at Baitus Salam for 1 year.
Within the mualaf call period (5 years).
Good health: free from infectious or chronic diseases (including AIDS) and free from drug or alcohol addiction.
Mental stability: no serious mental health issues.
Legal compliance: free from criminal or legal cases.
Voluntary participation: applicants must willingly apply and comply with the rules and regulations set by Baitus Salam management.
