SHAH ALAM, 14 June 2022 – The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) today received a business zakat payment of RM50,000 from Teraju Ekonomi Asnaf Sdn Bhd (TERAS) during the TERAS Strategic Partners Networking Event held here.

The business zakat payment was handed over by TERAS Chairman Dato’ Ibrahim Md. Yusof to LZS Chief Executive Officer Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini.

In his speech, Dato’ Ibrahim said, “TERAS will continue to take steps to assist the asnaf, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Profits earned are redirected to relevant agencies for the benefit of those in need.”

During the same event, TERAS also handed over a dividend payment of RM192,186 to the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS), represented by the Selangor Mufti, Dato’ Dr. Anhar Opir.

For information, TERAS is a subsidiary of MAIS that manages entrepreneur development and entrepreneurship training for fakir and miskin asnaf in Selangor under the supervision of LZS.
