SHAH ALAM, 11 October 2021 – The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) collaborated with Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) to distribute PTPTN’s wakalah zakat totaling RM206,100.00 to the asnaf community in Selangor.

The distribution included contributions to the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) accounts for 157 Bait Al-Hasanah students and 250 top-performing students of the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) and Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM), with a wakalah zakat allocation of RM97,100.00.

Meanwhile, 1,180 students from Integrated Religious Primary Schools (SRAI) also received wakalah contributions in the form of SSPN accounts, amounting to RM59,000.00.

To ease the burden of asnaf household heads, PTPTN additionally provided smartphones to 40 asnaf children in primary school and laptops to 10 asnaf children in secondary school, with a total allocation of RM50,000.
