SHAH ALAM, 1 April 2022 – The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) has announced the appointment of Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 April 2022.

Mohd Sabirin’s appointment replaces Saipolyazan M. Yusof, whose service ended on 24 March.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and has previously worked in several corporate companies before joining LZS in 2008.

During his 14 years at LZS, Mohd Sabirin has held several key positions, including Head of the Collection Division, with his most recent role being Head of the Asnaf Distribution Operations Division.

In addition, Mohd Sabirin is a Shariah-registered Financial Planner (RFP) under the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC), a member of the Malaysian Taxation Association (MATA), and holds teaching authorization in Selangor (Special) under the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS).

It is hoped that this appointment will continue LZS’s vision to further strengthen zakat management in Selangor.
