SHAH ALAM, 5 January 2024 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) places great emphasis on trust and integrity in carrying out its duties and responsibilities to ensure that zakat funds are managed properly.

Following a statement from the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) Bukit Aman, LZS is always ready to provide full cooperation with investigations conducted by the authorities.

LZS takes any misconduct involving integrity very seriously and will, without compromise, take disciplinary and legal action against any individual or company involved. This is crucial to ensure that the trust entrusted to LZS is always preserved and that public confidence in the zakat institution remains intact.

As an entity managing zakat funds for public welfare, LZS prioritizes the value of trust not only among its staff but also among parties appointed by LZS.

In this regard, LZS will continue to enhance governance and internal processes to ensure that integrity breaches do not occur and can be effectively addressed.

To date, various internal and external risk controls have been implemented to safeguard the integrity and credibility of LZS, including multiple audit series such as International Audit Firms, National Audit, SIRIM Audit, ABMS Audit, Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) Audit, LZS Internal Audit, and others.
