PETALING JAYA, 17 December 2021 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) was recognized as one of 43 companies to receive the HR Asia – Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021 award (Malaysia edition) at a prestigious ceremony held here.

LZS was selected from 270 entries from various local and international companies operating in Malaysia.

LZS Chief Executive Officer, Saipolyazan M. Yusop, who received the award on behalf of LZS, stated, “This award is a recognition of zakat institutions in Malaysia in general and LZS in particular. It indirectly demonstrates that zakat management companies are professionally managed to international standards, thereby boosting the confidence of zakat contributors to continue fulfilling their zakat obligations in Selangor.”

He added, “This recognition is also dedicated to the LZS workforce for their hard work and dedication in providing the best service to asnaf and zakat contributors, especially during this pandemic.”

The HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia is an annual program organized by HR Asia to recognize organizations across Asia for excellence in human resource management, employer branding, and employee engagement. Participating organizations undergo an evaluation process based on a survey using the TEAM (Total Engagement Assessment Model) conducted among randomly selected employees.

Subsequently, LZS presented to the judging panel its initiatives as a socially responsible organization caring for the community and its workforce during the COVID-19 period, before being selected as a winner.
