SHAH ALAM, 23 October 2023 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), through the Shariah and Da’wah Division (DSD), organized the Zakat Intellectual Discourse Series (ZIDS) program involving over 100 participants, including LZS Senior Management Group, department heads, and LZS da’i.

ZIDS featured distinguished presenters, namely LZS Shariah Advisory Committee Member, Professor Dr. Aznan Hasan, former Federal Territory Mufti, Dato’ Seri Dr. Zulkifli Muhamad Al-Bakri, and a certified trainer from Sabar Training and Resource, Syamsul Amri A. Razak.

The program aims to enhance the appreciation of LZS’s Seven Core Values, particularly the three main values: ‘Faithful, Knowledgeable, and Trustworthy’. It also serves as a platform to share core elements of shariah and da’wah in zakat management, especially in the modern era.

In addition to lectures delivered by the presenters, participants had the opportunity to raise several questions. The program was also enlivened with the launch of the book The 360 Leader Ship to the LZS Senior Management Group.

ZIDS received very positive feedback from the participants. They expressed hope that the program will continue in the future, so that LZS staff can continue to gain fresh insights, particularly from shariah and da’wah perspectives, in enhancing zakat empowerment in the state.
