KUALA LANGAT, 15 February 2021 – A family of five who experienced a disruption in their food supply after being quarantined at home due to testing positive for COVID-19 received assistance from the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS).

Following information that was received, the Kuala Langat district Asnaf Distribution Operations promptly reached out to the family by providing daily food assistance to meet their needs throughout the quarantine period.

The head of the household was also affected financially after his salary was reduced by his employer since the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

To date, a total of 11 families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Kuala Langat district have received assistance. LZS will continue to monitor the needs of those affected, especially families under home quarantine, to ensure they are able to carry on with their daily lives as normally as possible.
