SHAH ALAM, 30 November 2023 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) engaged local celebrities through the Celebrities with the Mufti da’wah program held here today.

The program, attended by over 30 celebrities, not only provided a platform to share information on zakat management, particularly on collection and distribution, but also encouraged celebrity entrepreneurs to fulfill their zakat obligations. Participants were also encouraged to share the knowledge and understanding gained with their fellow celebrity peers.

During the same event, three companies contributed business and income zakat totaling RM985,916.73. Bizmilla Catering Sdn. Bhd., represented by its Chief Executive Officer Nursyamila Jirin, also known as Mila Jirin, contributed RM365,268.73 in business zakat. This was followed by the founders of Bawal Sdn. Bhd., Halyza Maysuri and Mohd Rosli Awang, who paid income zakat of RM407,888.00, and the founder of Herbaworks Healthcare Sdn. Bhd., Ikhwan Hasyidan Ilyas, who paid income zakat of RM212,760.00.

Also present at the event were Dato’ Seri Utama Diraja Mufti of Selangor, Dato’ Setia Dr. Anhar Opir, and Head of Collection Division, Muhd Fikri Naim Harun.
