SHAH ALAM, 8 June 2021 – The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) has partnered with the Selangor State Health Department (JKNS) to provide special transportation specifically to implement the Vaccine On The Go (VOTG) Squad program.

The launch and deployment ceremony of the VOTG Squad was officiated by His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj at the Bukit Kayangan Palace here today.

Three LZS MPV vehicles have been activated as VOTG Squad vehicles to transport healthcare workers to deliver vaccination services to 265 Elderly Care Centers and Persons with Disabilities (OKU) across Selangor starting 8 June 2021.

According to LZS Chief Executive Officer Saipolyazan M. Yusop, the use of LZS vehicles is a community service initiative by LZS to support the National COVID-19 Immunization Program.

“This is LZS’s contribution to help address critical needs in the effort to vaccinate the community. The more people in Selangor vaccinated quickly, the sooner we can achieve herd immunity and fight the COVID-19 pandemic, returning to normalcy.”
