SHAH ALAM, 30 September 2023 – A total of 115 students aged between 7 and 12 who participated in the 3M Intervention Class (Reading, Writing, Arithmetic) organized by Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) in collaboration with ADAB Youth Garage (AYG) were celebrated in a graduation ceremony held at the Dewan Muktamar Masjid Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) here today.

These students are the first group to participate in the 3M Intervention Class program, which ran from March to August. The program serves as a remedial class for underprivileged urban children, particularly asnaf, facing difficulties in the 3M skills across five targeted locations, including the Al-Biruni Zakat Selangor Innovation and Learning Centre, and is fully funded through LZS’s Amil management funds.

This initiative by LZS aims to help these children master the 3M skills so that they do not fall behind in formal education and remain confident to continue their schooling.

Also present at the event was Acting Chief Executive Officer of AYG, Muhammad Afiq Ramlee.
