SHAH ALAM, 18 June 2022 – A total of 182 Mentors for Mualaf Asnaf (GPAM) were honored at the 2020 Mualaf Teacher Appreciation Day, officiated by the Secretary of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS), Dr. Ahmad Shahir Makhtar, today.
For information, GPAM are individuals specifically appointed by LZS to educate and guide mualaf asnaf based on the Mualaf Textbook modules that have been developed.
The inaugural event also recognized 18 GPAM who demonstrated outstanding performance in service, and presented wakaf shares contributions to three GPAM who passed away during their tenure.
A motivational sharing session was also delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Salasiah Hanin Hamjah from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), titled “Mualaf Educational Psychology in Facing Contemporary Challenges.”
Also present were the Head of Education Management, Islamic Education Division, Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), Muhamad Asmadi Mustakim, and LZS Chief Executive Officer Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini.
