SHAH ALAM, 15 August 2025 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) continues to receive support from the corporate sector as McDonald’s Malaysia contributed business zakat amounting to RM300,000 for 2025 in a ceremony held here today.

The zakat payment was presented by Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of McDonald’s Malaysia, Azhar Darbi, to LZS Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Khaidzir Shahari.

At the same event, McDonald’s Malaysia also donated 60 boxes of rezeki, each containing daily necessities valued at RM200, to selected heads of asnaf households, as an effort to ease the burden of the underprivileged.

In addition, McDonald’s shared blessings by providing 1,000 free meal packs to the public as a gesture of appreciation and support to the local community.

For the record, in 2020, McDonald’s received the Corporate Zakat Payer Recognition Certificate from LZS as an acknowledgment of the company’s commitment in paying zakat in Selangor.
