It should be understood that the basic ruling on zakat payment is that it must be made without delay. However, in situations such as forgetting, facing financial constraints, or other difficulties, there are two possible solutions:

1. 1. Make zakat payments in instalments until the full amount is settled.
2. 2. If unable, the payment may be postponed with the intention to fulfill it in the following year.

However, it is best to settle the payment promptly because it is considered a debt—one that is an obligation to Allah SWT and also to the asnaf.
