SHAH ALAM, 8 September 2025 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) today received a courtesy visit from the EXCO for Islamic Religious Affairs and Innovation Culture of Selangor, Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah, at Menara Zakat Sultan Idris Shah.
The visit aimed to strengthen the strategic relationship between the Selangor State Government and LZS in empowering the welfare agenda for asnaf and enhancing zakat collection potential in the state.
During the visit, Dr Mohammad Fahmi was briefed on the operations, governance, and various welfare initiatives implemented by LZS for the benefit of asnaf.
Discussions also highlighted opportunities for closer collaboration to ensure zakat management remains relevant, transparent, and effective.
LZS Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Khaidzir Shahari, said, “LZS is always committed to improving governance and expanding the reach of asnaf welfare programs. With the support of the State Government, we are confident that efforts to increase zakat collection and strengthen community well-being can be achieved more effectively.”
Also present during the session were LZS Chief Operating Officer, Ahmad Fadhil Hassan; Chief of Corporate and Special Projects, Ariffa Ariffin; and Chief Financial and Information Technology Officer, Rapizah Muhammad Sharif.
