SHAH ALAM, 29 April 2025 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) today received an official visit from the Majlis Agama Islam Selangor (MAIS) delegation led by its Chairman, Senator Dato’ Setia Salehuddin Saidin, as part of the MAIS Chairman’s Field Visit Program to agencies and subsidiaries under MAIS supervision.

The visit, held at Menara Zakat Sultan Idris Shah, was welcomed by LZS Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Khaidzir Shahari, along with the senior management team of LZS.

The visit is regarded as an important initiative in strengthening the strategic relationship between LZS and MAIS, particularly in enhancing zakat governance and improving services for Muslims in Selangor.

During the visit, the MAIS delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on management, administration, and various strategic initiatives currently implemented by LZS.

In his speech, Mohd Khaidzir expressed appreciation for the visit while reaffirming LZS’ commitment to continuously enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of zakat management.

“With continuous support from MAIS, I am confident that more opportunities for collaboration can be explored to further strengthen the welfare of Muslims in Selangor. This visit opens up new avenues for synergy to solidify cooperation and strategic partnership between these two key institutions,” he said.

Also present during the visit were MAIS Members, Datin Paduka Saudah Sulaiman; MAIS Secretary, Dr. Ahmad Shahir Makhtar; Deputy Secretary (Policy and Management), Nurhani Salwa Jamaludin; and other senior MAIS officials.

This visit is part of the series of official visits by the MAIS Chairman to agencies and subsidiaries under MAIS supervision following his appointment as MAIS Chairman effective 1 March.
