SHAH ALAM, 29 January 2024 – Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) has appointed a total of 413 pharmacy panels across Selangor to facilitate medical assistance recipients in obtaining the necessary medical supplies.

These pharmacy panels were appointed based on their capability to supply medical needs to asnaf while meeting the requirements and qualifications set by LZS. This includes having the necessary operating licenses and approvals from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).

According to LZS Chief Operating Officer, Ahmad Fadhil Hassan, “LZS’s main focus is to make things easier for asnaf. Therefore, LZS ensures that the appointed pharmacy panels are capable of providing sufficient and high-quality medical supplies. Most importantly, these panels are easily accessible to asnaf in their respective areas.”

He added that monitoring and performance evaluations of the pharmacy panels’ services will be conducted from time to time throughout the appointment period to ensure the pharmacies provide the best service to asnaf in Selangor.

LZS warmly welcomes capable pharmacies that meet the set criteria to provide services to asnaf in Selangor. For information, in 2023 nearly 12,000 recipients were assisted with medical aid from LZS.
